Editing Used In The Music Video

The editing constantly switches between the performance side to the narrative, This is done by making what Eminem and Rihanna's lyrics link with whats happenening in the narrative. During Rihanna’s verses the amount of cuts between the performance and narrative is limited, whereas when Eminem is rapping the tempo of the soundtrack speeds up which consequently increaseas the amount of cuts. The fire effects which can be seen on the people have been created via SFX/CGI, (Special Effects/Computer Generated Imergry), to show the breakdown of the couples relationship thruogh the use of Eliptical Editing, this is dramatised when slowmotion is used during a scence showing the couple fighting (3min 40sec).
